<p>secure one to one edge of your opening and use a regular baby gate with pass thru for you on the open end&#8230;..something like the metal holders for deck boards would work to hold the one end&#8230;. and could be used on the other end to attach that loose end to the door frame, too&#8230; a post from the wall rather than the floor&#8230;&#8230;</p>
